14th February ~Valentine Days~
Today is valentine days…
I’ve made chocolates for Unohana nee-san, Inoue-san, Tatsu-kun, Tessai-san, and… actually, I wanna made it for Dr. Abarai too. So, I made one more, for him. If He didn’t like it, maybe I’ll give it for Ryouta-kun. We ate it together.
My heart being pulsed when He was entering the room.
“Morning, Doctor,” I bowed to him.
“Don’t be so formal. Act like usual,” He passed front of me without expression.
Finally, I gave the chocolate later. I gave it to nee-san first and the Inoue-san.
“Have you given the chocolate for Dr. Abarai??” Asked Inoue-san.
“Ah??”
“So, you haven’t made it yet??”
“Um, I have but, I haven’t given it yet. I’m too shy to gave it to him,”
“Let me accompany you,” He pulled my hands.
“Wait! Wait! Inoue-san. It’s not easy as you think,”
“Why??” She stopped walking.
“He hates chocolate,”
“Um, where do you know it??”
“He said it by his self,”
Before Inoue-san continued her words, I saw Dr. Abarai brought something like gift in his hand.
“Doctor, what’s that??” asked us together in same time.
“Chocolate,” answered him shortly.
“Chocolate? From whom??” asked Inoue-san directly.
“I don’t know. There was a girl gave me hastily,”
Damn, I was late. Too late. Maybe she has been declaring her feelings earlier than me.
“Doctor, do you really didn’t knew the girl who gave you that chocolate??” asked me. The chocolate was putted on his desk. He didn’t care about it.
“Why do you ask me about that?”
I’m just silenced.
“Do you like me??”
I was so surprised He said that to me.
I answered him directly, “No, No. I’m just wanted to know,”
He laughed, “Then why your face so fiery red?? Are you sick??”
“Fine!” I left the room.
Who dare He tease me like that! Uh!! I hate you!!
When I was muttered outside the room, I was approached by a girl. “Excuse me, do you know Dr. Abarai??”
Then she told me that she was the girl who gave the chocolate.
“So, I’m sorry if you were having quarrel with your boyfriend??”
“What do you mean by boyfriend?”
“Oh? Is Dr. Abarai your boyfriend??”
“No, He just my superior,”
“Ah, I guessed. I think that you’re his girlfriend,”
Damn…
Her name is Yadomaru Risa. She told me after I asked it.
Then I brought her to Dr. Abarai.
“Ah, you’re that girl, who gave me this chocolate, aren’t you??”
“I’m sorry if that made you bother. Actually, I don’t know who else who I want to give that chocolate. I’m really sorry,” She bended her head.
“Why you do that??” asked me.
“I’m, quarreling with my boyfriend,”
I was silenced. Dr. Abarai too.
She looked at us both, “It began from this morning. He addressed me in the way to the hospital. I asked him. Is He like chocolate or not. He answered not. And He said that chocolate was so frightening for him. I can’t give this chocolate for him. So, when I was arrived in this hospital, I looked for someone to give this chocolate. Then, I saw Dr. Abarai was examining my Brother. After He finished, I gave it to him, and ran directly,” explained her.
Dr. Abarai nodded.
Ah, I didn’t know what I understood at the time. But, I felt that my heart felt roomy. I didn’t know caused of what.
This evening, I was home earlier.
Dr. Abarai said that we didn’t have any scheduled.
When I was walking trough the corridor to the exit door, I saw Risa-san was standing front of a room.
“Risa?” I touched her shoulder from behind.
“Eh, Aihara-san,”
“Why do you still here??”
“I’m waiting for my brother. But He said that I must go home,”
“Why you didn’t home??”
“I wont. I’m thinking a way to apology,”
We both had silenced for a moment. Until, I decided to ask her to my house.
“Let’s come to my house,”
I asked her to come to my house.
“What do you think to ask me here?” asked Risa when we were in my house.
“I’m gonna give you the sweetest way to apology,” I smiled to her.
I was preparing my self, and she was admiring my house.
“It’s so small, Aihara-san,” said her.
“Yeah, my salary doesn’t enough to served me the bigger one,”
“No. it’s so small, narrow with the things that you love,”
“What do you mean?”
“My house is too big for us both,” answered her.
“What do you mean by both??”
“Our parents were divorced. I stayed with my oldest brother as long as our parents separated in the house that Father left to us. He was working to feed us both. Now, He was sick. That house was so silent. I couldn’t sleep alone,”
I sat next to her, “Drink it,” I served him a hot chocolate, “to make you better,”
After she took a rest for a moment, I invited her to my kitchen.
“Risa, come here,”
She came to me.
“Did you say that your boyfriend doesn’t like chocolate??”
“Um, actually, He isn’t my boyfriend,”
“So,”
“I like him. I love him. But, I can’t declare it. He is to far away. Out of my reach,”
“Okay, okay, I’m understand,”
“What we gonna do?”
“We’re making a ‘chocolate’ for your future boyfriend,”
Then I asked her to read the recipe. We made it together.
We’ll make a chocolate Soufflé. I knew if Risa’s ‘boyfriend’ didn’t like chocolate, caused it’s taste. It is sweet. So I made this Soufflé was bitter. Chocolate’s bitter. Every single one who didn’t like chocolate’s sweets may be like chocolate’s bitter. Like my grandma said. Everyone likes chocolate…
“Aihara-san, why the dough is more than this recipe said?”
“I made another one,”
“I see. For Dr. Abarai,”
“Don’t have any bad things. I made it for him, because He didn’t like sweet chocolate too,”
I looked at her. She said no words. But, she smiled.
Ah, forget it…
One hour later, the chocolate Soufflé was ready. It wasn’t like common chocolate. It was like a chocolate cake. I poured chocolate dust on it.
“Final touch, wrap it into a cute cake wrapper,” I gave her the wrap paper. As up to her. She wanted to wrap it like everything that she wanted.
Next day…
15th February…
I came late, because I forgot to turn on the alarm. I came about 09.00 a.m.
When I was running, I met Risa on the main lobby.
“Hei, Thank you for the recipe. He accepted it,” said Risa when I asked how about their relationship.
“He is my boyfriend now,” She smiled at me.
“Congratulations,” I smiled to her.
“Um, and, good luck to you,”
“For what?”
“Dr. Abarai,” She ran off directly left me. I just could be smiled when she said that. Ah, me? With Dr. Abarai? She got to be kidding me…
Break Time…
“Aihara, what’s this,” Dr. Abarai lifted something from distance. I couldn’t see that thing. So I came approach him to saw the thing.
“That’s my… Soufflé!!” I ran to him to take the soufflé.
“Thanks’ this is delicious. You made it?”
Too late, He has bitten it a half.
“You’re so mean…”
He just laughed. He was very handsome with that free laugh.
I just could stopped running and regretted about it.
“Thank you, for understanding me,”
I felt that He was whispered near my ear.
I looked at him, and He was walking against me.
I didn’t understood what you’re mean, Doctor…
