Way home to Niigata was so….ah beautiful. I’ve never been so fine like this time.
It’s been night when we arrived in Niigata.
“Should we buy something for our dinner?” asked me when we’re arriving.
“I’d love some curry rice,” answer Dr. Abarai by still driving his car.
“To the convenience store then,”
After bought some stuffs for dinner tonight, he takes me home.
“This isn’t the way to my house,” protested me when Dr. Abarai turned the car to another way.
“But this is the way to my apartment,” he smiled.
“WHAT?!”
He just laugh for my surprised expression, “don’t worry, I won’t eat you,”
“It’s not something like that! Why do you take me to your place?”
He just laugh, “first, it’s too far if we reach your home by this time. Second, I’m hungry already,”
Then it’ll be my surrender.
I kept enclosed my jacket along the way to his apartment.
“Calm down, I won’t make you as my prey tonight,” those words kept running fro this red hair man’s mouth.
“I do not believe if you keep walking behind me,” annoy me.
He laughed and crash me from back, “you make me really wanna eat you every time you’re pouting up like that,”
The door opened, and we’re stepping in.
“What kind of beverage do you love for tonight?”
“Hot chocolate will be good,” He released the jacket.
“Hei, that’s my choice,”
“I read your mind then,”
I was silent in a blink, but then, smile cover my mouth.
This warmth that makes me happy, I wish it continued ever last.
“It’s been so late, stay in my apartment,” he said when I’m doing dishes.
I stopped for a moment, “but tomorrow?”
He turned to me, “what?”
“Tomorrow we’ll back to work, how come if I didn’t bring any necessity for tomorrow? The reports are still in my computer,”
I saw Dr. Abarai sighed, “which one is better? Come to your house then sleep late, or stay in my apartment so you can back to work freshly?”
“I demand to come home,”
“No, once I told you to stay, stay,”
“But I……..”
“Because I care so much about you,” he held my shoulders gently, “…. I just don’t want you to be tired then sick,”
I remain silent hearing those words.
“Appreciate me,”
Like a magic that drowns me, I just gave my nod as approval.
“Now, take a bath, before you sleep,”
I found him in front of his laptop on his sofa after I took a bath.
“It’s your turn now, doctor…” I said to gain his attention from his monitor.
He just nodding, and point up something with his finger, “that’s for you,” he said without any single blink that given to me.
I follow the point of the finger, and I found something above the bed.
“What’s that?” one step forward to look the real shape is.
“Open it, wear it, and show it to me,” instructed him.
